Hint Taken

I hope I have a budding quilter in Abi, not that she's sewing at 2 3/4 but she knows that everyone needs a quilt including Max.
Some weeks back he was laid on the sofa for a little nap and Abi disappeared and came back with some blocks she found in my sewing room. How sweet she wanted to cover her little brother up and keep him snug.
She even gave him a little pin keep to keep him company. ( know pins in it).

So hint taken and have put these stars together for Max.
I was going to put Max at the top but decided to put his initials MRW sounds more like some sporty car.
It's a bit of a long thin one because its going to be for his cot bed, a bit of a long way off from being in that but it's another UFO finished, well not quite this one I want to quilt myself.

Jane's Garden

I'm a very happy girl ( who am I kidding) GIRL!!! as my Jane's Garden arrived back from the The Quilting Company yesterday.
I love how Sandy has quilted it, just about the right amount of quilting for my liking. It was started with Di Ford  at the quilt show in Nantes last year and my first attempt at needle turn appliqué it's not to brilliant but am happly with the overall effect.

Just needs binding and now the darker evenings are drawing in it will be a nice project to have over my knees.

Now back to the pink and brown quilt. Lots of you left me comments about leaving the mistake in but once you know you KNOW . So now it's been corrected and another quilt top is finished. I know this is only a simple design but I so enjoyed working with these colours and design.

So what's next??? Plenty of UFO'S to be finished and will start digging into those.

Bummer

Their I was going along quite nicely putting my latest quilt together and then wham!!!
Spot the un- deliberate mistake. I wondered what happened when I though I couldn't find a square, re cut one and had a nine patch left over.

This is the offending block.

Sorry about Merys leg sticking out in the corner but its the same old story of lay a quilt down and she takes ownership.
I'm decided to leave it for tonight and start a fresh with un- stitching and remaking the offending block in the morning.
Motto- don't start stitching in the evening when your mind is in grandchildren over load.

I just had to show you my new shopping buddy - Love those sun glasses! She cracks me up with what she comes out with now.

And look at the man in my life, he's growing a mile a minute and don't think I've ever come across a more chilled baby. He's going to be the observer in the family. Maybe pointing out my mistakes before I get to far ahead.
