Red and White

With the The Infinite Variety - Red and White Quilt Exhibition looming at the AMERICAN FOLK ART MUSEUM later this month their are many emails flying around in cyber space about quilters meeting up.
I am not sure NYC will know what has hit them as quilters are flying in from all around the globe to see this exhibition.

Taryn from Repro Quilt Lover has asked we post red and white quilt links on her blog so here is my contribution.

Bought from Jen Jones some years back this small 24in cutter sits nicely as a centre piece on my dinning room table . It is definitely welsh from the quilt design .I also wrote about a Red and White Quilt that I own  here. http://isewquiltsuk.blogspot.com/2010/10/whats-on-bed.html.

I have been going through my photos and found a few more Red and Whites ones from way before blogging days that I will post up over the next few days.

It's going to be an exciting year for Red and White Quilts.

  3. Like Sue M I am full of ideas for red and white quilts but yours is just wonderful!! It is a perfect red/white--so graphic and the quilting is fabulous. Thanks for including it in the online show and I certainly hope you add more of your quilts. I cannot wait to see them.

  5. Love your little Welsh quilt Sue. Was it originally a small quilt?

Like you I am excited about New York and meeting up with my friends from Denver. We are all staying in the Warwick.

Sadly I haven't a red and white quilt to share but I do know someone who has!

  9. Although not a quilter myself, I so enjoy seeing those that others have created.
Your red & white table quilt is classic and would look even more wonderful in a vignette with red & white transferware.

  13. What fun to see everyone's Red and White quilts! I'm so glad Taryn dreamed up the gallery idea! And I am really enjoying visiting everyone's blogs! Another ingenious idea -- to go blog hopping via and Red and White quilts! It's been terribly exciting to see that two of the Red and White quilts in Taryn's gallery from the UK look like my Red and White quilt from Illinois, USA and I think one of them is yours. I've posted a lot more photos now trying to explore design influences. Take a peek. Loved visiting Jen Jones' place in 2007! karenquilt.blogspot.com
