American Museum

It is the season when the American Museum in Bath .http://www.americanmuseum.org/

opens up for it's Christmas event. The house is beautifully decorated throughout  and the piece de resistance is the Christmas tree in the main hall . Decorated this year with bunting made by the volunteers from the museum.

Of course no trip to the museum is complete without visiting the quilts and I found several on show this time which are not in the book and  that I hadn't seen before.
So here we go with some  quilty photos for you to enjoy. .

That's just a few photos I have taken will post more next time. Hope you enjoyed them?

Sue

  1. I would love a big enough space for a lovely big tree. Have not been to the museum in a very long time. Love that first quilt.

  3. They are beautiful. I especially like the Cherry tree. I am working on a tree quilt myself right now! Love the beautiful Christmas tree also. Reminds me of a historical home in Mansfield Ohio that local garden clubs decorate each year.

  5. Thanks for sharing. The pineapple quilt is kind of quirky. Doesn't it make you want to ask the maker what was in her mind as she planned it?

  8. The American Museum is a great place...of course I enjoyed all of my trips down to Bath! The pineapple quilt pattern is very popular in my area back here in the states. I see one or two every-time we have a documentation day!
