The American Museum

We just didn't stop when Linda was with me for the weekend, Sunday morning we set off for The American Museum to see the Kaffe Fassett Exhibition and of course the museum's wonderful collection of American quilts.

What an explosion of colour when you walked through the foyer. Bright shocking pink walls.

The American museum collection's quilts were a lot calmer on the eye.

Nice simple nine patch.

Much to soon it was time for Linda to  leave and continue her journey. It was a great quilty weekend and so worthwhile putting in the miles to see fabulous quilts.

We will meet again some time some where and you can rest assured that quilts will be involved.

  1. Thanks for your pictures! I have the book from the American Museum and would love a chance to see them in person. Calmer to the eye, yes, but it would be at thrill to see, nonetheless.

  6. Sue, you and Linda packed it in. You know I'd been right there taking it all in too. Kaffe Fassett's work has always intrigued me. What fun to see this exhibit! Love the blue and white basket quilt!
