I Have Reached 100
3 generations Neil, me and mum
Klosjes total this week 3- So have now reached 100. I made these after my mum went home on Thursday . She had a good time with me last week and I was exhausted . I don't know what she is on but she can certainly keep going even though she is 86 . A big thank you to all of you who sent her Birthday Wishes.
Whilst we were out and about we went to Baileys Home and Garden where I spotted these spools- Aren't they fun -the rack of thread spools was lovely but just a tad expensive but I may just have to go back and buy some of the large spools and use them for decorating.
I decided to put 64 of my Klosjes together to see how it is going to look. The plan is to make it into a medallion quilt but have yet to find a suitable light fabric to use as the infill round the quilt. I tried plain cream but it looked to stark. I do have something that looks good but sod's law is I only have a 1/2 metre. So I am now on the look out for THAT fabric that will give me the look I want.

Those spools are wonderful! And the rack of thread spools is neat, too. Sounds like you had a fun day out and about. I love how your quilt is coming together. Belated birthday wishes to your mom!

Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteI read your blog and use it to reach other one, don't know if this is the thing to do but it puts me in touch with so many interesting people and things. So much so that I have started my own and am trying to make it known. Will you read it please and would it be asking too much to ask you to add it to yours? Here is the link -
