Ground Zero Quilt

I took this picture of the Ground Zero Quilt at the festival of Quilts last month and decided then I would post it today to remember the 9/11 victims.

It was truly a dreadful day in history when so many innocent people lost their lives and families were robbed of their loved ones.

Gone but not forgotten.

  5. Wow! That sure makes it REAL again! I lived in the DC area at the time 9-11 happened. I will never forget the shock of it all and all the runors that were flying in the air about another plane heading our way. It's all I could write about in my journal for at least 2-3 weeks. When my brother came to town we went to the Pentagon to see the damage and got interviewd by a news team from Central America! The day after 9-11 I took out a quilt that I had begun in 1982 that was only half quilted and that I hadn't worked on for at least 6 years and finished quilting it in those two weeks while I stayed glued to the news.
