Hi Lori, It is said that when the welsh migrated to America in the 1800's they took their traditions with them . They to settled in PA in the Mining areas like Johnstown. It is said that thier was some sort of overlap of cultures from the quilting point of view. Some years ago at the American Museum in Bath UK their was a dual exhibition of typical Welsh quilts and Amish quilts hanging side by side. The differeince being the welsh one were made of wool.
What graphic quilts! They remind me a lot of the Amish quilts.
